Mac Satin Taupe eye shadow - Review

My Mac palette is filling up nicely but I fancied something a bit different in there so I thought I'd go with Satin Taupe!

Pro palette refill in Satin Taupe - £10

I made sure I read a lot of reviews and recommendations about different Mac eye shadows  and thought this one was perfect! It's generally an all round great eye shadow, I think it would suit all skin tones and eye colours! Just like other Mac eye shadows, it's really pigmented and also blends really nicely too.
I love wearing this all over the lid with sketch blended into the crease (which is a beautiful dark plumy purple) it's a lovely taupe colour with silver glitter running through it. This is definitely one of my favourites in my palette at the moment, it's really easy to wear and doesn't clash if you want to wear a more eye catching lip! I think will look amazing with a really dark purple lip!

Really really this colour and is a definite must have for your Mac palette!

Haul #3 - Mostly Topshop

I don't know what's wrong with me I'm completely addicted to Topshop, although I find myself complaining about ti being over priced constantly I still spend all my money there!
I have no will power...
I thought I'd do it a little different this time and show everything as whole outfits, so with other things that aren't new to show how I would wear them and make it a bit more interesting!

Topshop cami - £18
Topshop skirt - £36
Riverisland heels - (old)
Topshop Necklace -£5 (sale)

I couldn't resist this skirt when I saw it, it was around my birthday and I thought if I didn't wear it out then I could just wear it on Christmas day! I thought it would look cool casual throughout the day with thick tights and a t shirt or with a cami and heels for a night out! The sparkles really catch the light and look amazing, although my boyfriend does call it my tinsel skirt!

Topshop riding pants - £32
Topshop top - £18
Topshop necklace - £2.50 (sale)

I've had my eye on the Topshop version of the riding pants for a while and I finally gave in! I thought they'd make a nice alternative to leggings or trousers! They're nice and thick, I love wearing them with tops tucked into them, also could dress these up or down with heels or flats.
This top is also new, I wanted to get involved in the whole tartan trend and spotted this, I quite like wearing it with the sparkly skirt throughout the day with thick tights and boots!

Oh my love through Topshop dress - £35
Asos shoes - £17

I'm soooooo in love with this dress, I spotted in the Lincoln Topshop store when I was shopping with my mum and completely fell in love with it! My mum told me to get it but I didn't then couldn't stop thinking about it and eventually caved! I'm not normally a floral kind of girl but I thought this was a nice twist. I have been wearing it quite a lot, especially in the day with thick tights or my disco pant leggings because it is a little short for the day time. It is rather low cut because of the lace cleavage but I've been wearing a longer vest top underneath which makes it more day appropriate! Whack on a cardi too to make it wintery!

Oh my love through Asos dress - £35
Boohoo Leopard print wedges - £10 (old and sale)

So I also bought it in black for my birthday night out! They're both really lovely fits if you feel a bit insecure about your tummy, like me, then these aren't tight but are still very flattering around your bust! I really love both of these dresses! I've been wearing them both loads and am very tempted to get another one in a tartan print!

Just going to give the brand Oh My Love some love! I've now bought a few things from there over the last few years and been really chuffed with everything, I have big boobs and often I feel like a lot of small brands like this one don't cater towards that which I thought would be the same with Oh My Love. Although they only sell things in sizes XS, S, M, L, I always get a L and they are a really nice fit and the material stretches  nicely without disturbing the pattern! Will definitely be buying more from them!
Topshop Black and Blue camis - £18
Topshop snake print - £26

Got to love these Topshop camis! You can wear them with anything and they always look like you've made an effort! Really really love these, I've put a couple of my Christmas list and definitely got my eye on the burgundy one!

 Top left going clockwise
Topshop silver spike necklace - £5(sale)
Topshop oil slick chain - £5(sale)
Topshop gold necklace - £2.50(sale)
Topshop locket - £2.50(sale)

I went a little crazy in the Topshop jewellery sale but I really fancied having some new statement necklaces!

 Topshop bag - £32

This was such an impulse buy and to be honest, I don't even really like it very much, I wish I'd taken my time and chosen a nicer one! Although that being said, I've been using it everyday and it'll do fine until I buy a nicer one!
 Topshop purse - £18

I really really needed a new purse because my old one was literally falling apart and this one looked perfect! It's big enough to hold all of my junk but small enough to fit in any of my clutches or small bags! My mum absolutely adores this purse and think I'm probably going to have to get her it for Christmas!

Asos rucksack - £28

Finally I picked up this rucksack from Asos for my trip to London! I've never owned a backpack before but thought it would be perfect for traveling especially if I pop home for a weekend! I really really love this colour tartan and think it looks really classic and will hopefully last me years!
It's really sturdy and makes carrying heavy things round a lot eaiser!

Hope you enjoy my latest haul, will probably do another one soon because I can't help myself!

Zara Woman 11 corso vittorio emanuele milan edt 100 ml - Perfume

I always make sure I smell nice but I always seem to forget to buy new perfume and just end up using loads of body sprays instead, when I was in London for my 21st I was in Zara and I spotted this absolute beauty!

Zara Woman 11 corso vittorio emanuele milan edt 100 ml - £14.99

I was in one of those moods where even if I didn't like the smell on it, I would just buy it to look pretty on my desk as pathetic as that sounds ha! However, fortunately I love the scent of it!
I didn't realise Zara did perfume until I spotted it in their Oxford Street store and they were surprisingly cheap so I thought I'd get one to remind me of my lovely trip and will probably use the bottle as decor after it's finished. I've never used a perfume with these little pumps before but I love it, I feel like a glamorous woman in the 50s or something! It's sprays you enough to smell nice but it doesn't feel wet on your skin and definitely doesn't run down your neck with if great if you use fake tan.
The scent itself is really lovely and pleasant, it's very fruity and feminine but isn't really really sweet, it's just generally a nice smell. My boyfriend really likes the smell too which is a bonus and definitely influences you to buy it again. The only negative I can name is that I really don't think the scent lasts on my skin or even on my clothes very long at all which is really annoying, the bottle is too big to keep in my bag too so I'll have to invest in a Travelo to keep with me. I'm happy to use it until I get some more and especially with Christmas round the corner I'm always gifted with plenty of perfume which is great and always very much appreciated!

My current fave eyeshadow base - For lasting all day!

I'm always on the hunt for something that's going to make my eyeshadow last all day but until now I just accepted the fact it was a dream.

I don't feel like my eye lids are actually that oily but maybe they are? Separately these products are really good but together they are incredible. Firstly I apply the Urban Decay primer potion to my lid and let that sink in while I fill in my eye brows, then I apply a fairly thin of the Clinique chubby stick in which ever colour I'm feeling on the day and whatever eyeshadow I'm going to be wearing. I then apply my eyeshadows, eyeliner etc and it really makes my eyeshadow last all day! I understand that it is a lot of steps and I don't use this all the time just if I know I need my make up to really last and I'm having a busy day. These individual products do make eyeshadow last longer than without but there is still creasing at the end of the day. I'm so happy I've finally found a combination that really works for me, I always use this on a night out when I really need my eyeshadow to last and make a statement!
The Urban Decay primer potions have no colour and just apply an either matte or shimmery base (depending on what look you want), then the Clinique Chubby Sticks apply a slight hint of colour which you can either leave on their own or apply eyeshadow over the top. Eyeshadow is still blendable on top and increases intensity of the colour.
Both of these products are fairly expensive but I've had the Primer Potions over a year and using them everyday and I've probably still got atleast half left and around Christmas time, department stores always have great value gift sets including them so it;s worth a look around. The Chubby Sticks don't last as long but you can get so much wear out of them, I really do think they are worth the pricetag.

If like me you have problems having your eyeshadow last I would 100% recommend trying this out, it really has worked for me and I am so happy with the results.

My 21st birthday - Part 2

I love seeing what people do and get for their birthday so I thought I'd share the second part of my birthday celebrations!
So on the Friday evening my friends came down from Lincoln and all my course mates and everyone came round and we had an ANN Summers party, which I agree sounds a little scary and cringey but it was actually really really fun! We were just shown through their underwear line of this season, then a few naughtier things and finally just played some games, including bitchy bingo and chubby bunny. It was so fun just to fool around with your girlfriends while having some drinks and also getting some freebies!
Afterwards we went out and went to a club which is one of my favourites which is Coco Tang, I have no idea if they have anymore of these cocktails bars around the UK but they make incredible cocktails and they're super yummy! We had a good catch up, giggle and a righty old boogie. Here are a few photos from our night!

I was lucky to receive such products presents from my friends! Thanks guys!

Bryany from BryanyEllen!

Then my family and I went for a lovely meal at prezzo which was sooooooo yummy! I had roasted duck leg with new potatoes, green bean, broccoli, asparagus, with a tomato and onion sauce. It was amazing! I will definitely be ordering this again next time!

I'll say it again, I'm definitely not bragging, I just love reading posts like this so I thought I'd share! I'm extremely grateful for everything I received and all the effort that was made for me!

Small beuaty haul - Superdrug & Mac

I fancied treating myself to a few new things to take away to London for my 21st and who doesn't wanna look hot for a weekend away with the boyf?!

Starting from the right I could not resist this absolute bargain! So the eylure natural fake eyelashes in 116 are my current everyday eyelashes, and you get a free pair inside! Oh wait, that's not all! They were also half price in Superdrug, so I bought four pairs for the normal price of one! Oh yeahh!
Then going anti-clockwise I had to pick up some of my favourite dry shampoo that I seem to go through ridiculously quickly. Next some eyelash glue, although you always get some in the packs of eyelashes I always seem to loose it and can't find it when I need it also I thought I'd pick some up that I can just keep in my makeup bag and use the little ones to keep in my purse and pockets!
Then onto the Eylure Nadine eyelashes which, as you might already know, are my favourite going out eyelashes, they look really full and I love the shape of them but they don't look massively fake!
Underneath that is a Sleek matte me lipstick/gloss thing in Fandango Purple, I've had my eye on this for a long time but couldn't justify it to myself, but I thought I'd buy it for London, and so far I love it! I will be doing a review of it after I've tried it a few more times!
Next I got a TRESemmé Platinum Strength Monodose shot because I thought I'd also give my hair a little treat too! But to be honest I wasn't really impressed with it, I was expecting it to give my hair a injection of moisture but to be honest my hair felt really dry afterwards which is really strange for my hair type but I'm not sure if it was that or some other product that I put in but I have a feeling it was that!
Then finally I treated myself to my first ever Mac lipstick! I decided to go for Rebel which is an incredible purple colour, I'm not going to do a close up of it because I'm going to be doing a review of it very soon and it can be a surprise if you guys don't know what colour it is! The smell is amazing and I really love the texture too!

Hopefully I'll have a lot more time to blog from now on so I should be posting a lot more! Thanks for reading!

My 21st birthday - Part 1 Weekend away in London

It was my 21st birthday on the 10th of November and my Dad amazingly paid for me and the boyf to have a weekend away in London, I was obviously crazily excited especially because I've never been to London before! We stayed for three nights and had such an amazing time! So I thought I'd share our experience with you guys, so here's a few photos documenting our trip.

Amazing presents from the boyfriend! (Noodles are a personal joke!)

I had the best weekend ever, and feel so lucky and loved!

Got these lovely things from my Mum, so grateful for everything that I received and I'll be doing my birthday night out at the end of the week so keep an eye out for that!
I hope no one feels like I'm bragging because I'm not, I just really enjoy reading posts like this myself!
